To help ring in Go Skateboarding Day with our friends in Lincoln, we’ve decided to throw a BBQ afterwards at Roberts Skatepark. If you’ve got the time, stop up at 6 P.M. to skate the park and enjoy some free food and drinks courtesy of the Secret Spot!

Secondly, we will be hosting a FEEDER game for the éS Game of SKATE at the Riverfront downtown, just outside of Rick’s Boatyard Cafe. For those of you who’ve never skated there, know that it’s easily the best flatground spot in Omaha. The winner of our game will receive prizes from us and automatically be entered into the finals in the Des Moines’ game. After the game, we will be hosting an after party at the Secret Spot, which is bound to be a good time. Check the flyer for more info!

These next two weeks bring major contests to both Omaha and Lincoln! Here’s a quick run-down of the events in store:

Our friends at Precision and Freeform in Lincoln have decided to have a “Lord of the Lines” contest to celebrate Go Skateboarding Day on Monday, June 21st! Check the flyer below for all the info:

On Wednesday, July 9th, the infamous Hometown Heroes contest will be visiting Roberts Skatepark! The contest begins at 4 P.M., so get there early! This is without a doubt the most legitimate contest to come to Roberts in YEARS, so don’t miss out on this! The winner will be flown out to compete at the HH finals in California at the 16th annual X-Games! See http://www.hhskate.com for more info on the contest.

For those of you who haven’t already heard, our big “secret” is that we have a new store right in the middle of Omaha on 78th and Cass St., right up the street from Roberts Skatepark. Our new location is open from 11 A.M. – 7 P.M. on Monday through Saturday and from 12 P.M. to 6 P.M. on Sunday. Although we haven’t had a grand opening just yet, our doors are still open to customers old and new. Next time you’re headed to the park, stop through and take a look around!

For now, get a load of the ridiculous amount of brand new product we have at our Secret Spot – including special edition Vans x Spitfire collaboration shoes and some very limited Berrics gear – and stay tuned for details on a grand opening celebration in the very near future!

This past Sunday, our boy Rob Warren showed up to compete in 3rd Lair Skatepark’s annual flatground game of O.U.T. – not S.K.A.T.E. Having won the event in 2007, Rob was no stranger to the contest and to many of its skaters. Rob faced off with Minneapolis’ own C.J. Tambornino in the finals, who also was O.U.T. champion in 2008. In the end, Rob managed to come out on top and win the $350 cash prize for 1st place. Check a couple photos from the event below and keep checking back for video of the event!

We’ve finally got a ton more NGSB stickers for you to grab up and throw on your new board! There’s literally thousands of stickers to pass out, so next time you’re in the shop, make sure you grab a few and represent your favorite shop.

We also got in some brand new, higher-end footwear from Supra’s spring line, so make sure to come in, check ‘em out, grab a pair, and have the dopest shoes at your school before all the homies start biting your style.

We also have a HUGE surprise in store for our friends, customers, and the rest of the local skating community and it’s right around the corner (of a busy intersection)…Really keep your eyes peeled these next couple days, especially if you’re out in those skateparks!
