Team rider Drew Newlin recently took a visit to the new South Metro Skatepark right by Next G to skate what they have built thus far. Our good friend Dan Moreno put together this footage from the day, which also features our friends Corey Adelson, Bruce Abraham, and Trey Owens. In other news, Jason’s cousin Donnie Diederich is opening his own clothing/skateshop entitled Convicted on the corner of 16th and Leavenworth St. downtown. To celebrate, Donnie is having a grand opening featuring a premiere of the new Creature video “Hesh Law.” Come out and join us in the celebration and enjoy what’s bound to be a great skate video from the Creature crew. This past Saturday Jason took flow riders Colten Lehman and Mike Benner along with Young Guns rider Lil’ Jay Diaz and Jason’s two youngest sons, Chad and Dom, to Saylor Skatepark in Des Moines for a Game of S.K.A.T.E. Colten and Mike took 1st and 2nd in the expert division, respectively, while Lil’ Jay finished 2nd in the intermediate division after a long championship game. Another big congratulations goes to Chad, who got 1st in the beginner division! Jason filmed and edited together this video from the event, which features some tricks from Colten, Lil’ Jay, Chad, Dom, and our homie Dirtball. Thanks to Saylor for putting on another great contest!

As you can see below, we had an awesome turnout for the Steve Berra autograph signing this past Friday! Steve made sure he signed every last autograph and took every last photo he could before leaving. A big thanks goes out to him and our good friend Donnie Diederich for helping us hook it up.

We also had a booth set up down at Septemberfest last Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For those of you who didn’t get the chance to go down, there’s also some pictures included from some of the antics that went down there!

Steve Berra will be stopping by Next G this Friday, September 4 around 5:30 P.M. to hang out and sign some autographs while he’s back in Omaha! For those of you who don’t know of Steve Berra, he is a professional skateboarder from Omaha who currently skates for Alien Workshop and DVS shoes. He is the co-founder and co-owner of The Berrics, a private skatepark created as a training facility meant for the industry’s best amateurs and professionals.
