Bay 198 Skatepark and “GO BIG shRED” Premiere

by on Nov.29, 2010, under Events, News, Riders

As many of you may already know, there is finally a new public indoor skatepark in Nebraska! Located in Lincoln’s Westfield Mall on 61st and O St., Bay 198 stands to be one of the best indoor parks we’ve ever had the chance to skate. Our good friends Mike Smith and John Morin saw the need for a new venue to skate indoors and took it upon themselves to build Bay 198 from the bottom-up. They and many others put a lot of grueling work to get this park running, and they couldn’t have done a better job.

Bay 198′s hours, rules, and regulations can be found on their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bay-198-Skatepark/145591728809278.

To download a waiver and donate to their cause, visit their website: http://www.bay198.com/.

A video of Bay 198 during its beginning stages and in its finalized form can be found below. The video features team riders Drew Newlin, Alex Harlow, and several of our close friends. Two new team riders can also be found in the video, but you’ll have to wait for their formal introductions…

Kammerer Benefit Auction

by on Nov.02, 2010, under Events, News, Riders

In a very sad and unfortunate turn of events, we have learned that team rider Josh Kammerer’s father has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and is expected to have only several months left to live. To help Josh’s family pay for medical costs and prolong his father’s time, our friends at Secret Penguin are hosting a silent auction of donated artwork this Saturday. Please attend for a friend and fellow skateboarder.
